Historical Articles

I have taken the liberty of rating the articles but am willing to adjust given meaningful feedback.

¶           Noteworthy only from a historical perspective.  Minimal value to play today due to superceded rules, faulty analysis, or just outdated by better articles.

¶¶        Worth reading, but there are likely to be better articles on the topic.

¶¶¶       A classic that provides insight into the game, good analysis, and is generally applicable to the 4th edition.

¶¶¶¶  Covers important aspects of the game, applicable to 4th edition, not superceded by any other literature on the topic.

¶¶¶¶¶ A must read.  Multiple times!  A definitive analysis of the topic.

A special thanks goes to Charles McLellan for his leadership in preserving and presenting TRC historical literature!

Opening Analysis
